The foam analyzed originated from the same batch of Duocel Al6101T6 open cell foams used in the quasistatic crushing study of Jang and Kyriakides 2009.The foams are nearly monodisperse but, because they are cast into a mold formed from polymeric foam templates, their cells retain the usual elongation in the rise direction that is characteristic of such foams.
